Unveiling of new masterpieces
"the awakening of man by the hand of woman"
On Friday, March 16th, internationally renowned artist, Misa, and Gallery O of Naples will hold their 2nd annual red-carpet art exposition, fundraiser, and silent auction. This year’s event, entitled “Dawn of the New Age” will benefit “Kids Fight Cancer.” The expo will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Gallery O – purveyor of exotic Belizean hardwoods, rustic and fine art, furniture, jewelry, and home décor – located at 600 Fifth Avenue South, #106, right next to Chico’s. Complimentary wine and hors d’oeurvres.
Although Misa’s lifetime body-of-work has, so far, reflected her artistic passion for empowered women, this year’s theme is virgin territory. Her new series, rendered in her own unique medium of acrylic-on-broken wood, will for the first time be based on the masculine, rather than the feminine form.
“Dawn of the New Age” represents a spectacular study of color. Each painting will pertain to one of the seven chakras, or psychic wheels, of energy that vibrate or rotate at a different speed and relate to specific physiological areas of the human body: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and ultra-violet. Even the food and music will reflect the colors and energies of the spectrum. To celebrate the coalescence of all colors, attendees and guests are invited, and encouraged, to wear white.
Misa’s awe-inspiring work involves the study of color and its emotional impact on our humanistic well-being. Using a multidimensional approach to transmute feelings and inspiration, her technique provides a simultaneously realistic and abstract observation of both surface and texture, a bold and harmonious signature style transcending social strata and international boundaries.
Local sponsors for the event include: Robert of Philadelphia, Mary Carol Photography, Osetra Champagne and Caviar Bar, and Caloosa Tent & Rental. Also, featuring Live Music by Diego Verney, Body Painting Performance by Juan Diaz, Make-up by Cindy-Jo Dietz, World Mission Kundalini, Yoga by DamaDe’ Amanbir
